The recruitment strategies discussed are the basis for effective approaches to retention, highlighting the importance of creating long-term relationships early in a student’s educational career, reaching underrepresented populations and increasing access to advising via technology. Commission chair, Christine Lancaster and commission members, Kelsey Boyer and Chelsea Smith, co-authored: Tying Recruitment to Retention: An Advisor's Role in Working with Underrepresented Populations.
