Statement:
I have been active
in NACADA for eleven years now, participating in the Adult Learners
Commission and serving as its chair for two years. During the
past two years, I have served on the Commission and Interest Group
Division Steering Committee, consulting with five different commissions
and interest groups and helping their chairs to do their jobs
better. Therefore, I feel ready to take on the role of the Commission
and Interest Group Division Representative, to head up the CIG
Division, to serve on the NACADA Council, and to work with all
the commissions and interest groups. I understand the role of
the commissions and interest groups to engage NACADA members with
their most vital interests and to provide a way for them to get
involved and to become active within the larger organization.
I plan to serve the NACADA members by making the commissions and
interest groups stronger and more responsive to the needs of the
members.
