Platform
Statement:
I am excited that we
have a new commission that I am very passionate about. I have
worked in the College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M for over
13 years. I started out in the Dean's Office and I have been at
the department level for the past 10 years. My dissertation discussed
the creation of the College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M.
I am a product of liberal arts and I am proud of its contribution
to higher education. I believe that the liberal arts are often
relegated to second class status at many of our institutions.
I hope that our new
commission will be able to highlight our importance to our NACADA
colleagues as well as our own institutions. I have worked on numerous
committees and I understand the importance of good leadership
and teamwork. I believe I would make a great Commission Chair
for Liberal Arts Advisors.
