Advising First-Year Students Interest Group Listserv List

How To Subscribe

To join the Advising First-Year Students e-mail list, simply follow these directions:

  1. From the e-mail account under which you wish to be subscribed, send an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU
  2. Type as the SOLE contents of the body of the message:
    • SUB FIRSTYRSTUDENTS Your first and last name
    • EX: SUB FIRSTYRSTUDENTS Thomas Thompson
  3. Delete any automatic signatures and send the message.
  4. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your subscription and instructions on the use of the e-mail list.

How To Post a Message

Send an email to the following address: FIRSTYRSTUDENTS@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU

Note: KSU list serves do not accept file attachments. You have a couple of options:

  1. Cut and paste the information from the attachment into the actual e-mail.
  2. Send the e-mail with attachments to everyone by typing in their individual e-mail addresses rather than to the list serve.

How To Unsubscribe

To leave the Advising First-Year Students e-mail list, simply follow these directions:

  1. From the e-mail account under which you subscribed, send an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU
  2. Type as the SOLE contents of the body of the message:
    • SIGNOFF FIRSTYRSTUDENTS
    • EX: SIGNOFF FIRSTYRSTUDENTS
  3. Delete any automatic signatures and send the message.
  4. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your unsubscription.
