Doctoral Students Interest Group Goals and Objectives
The Doctoral Student Interest Group will be working toward three objectives:
1) Support – provide a space for NACADA members pursuing doctoral work in any field to connect with each other, celebrate our achievements (especially those ever important milestones), and share strategies to maintain forward progress to the end goal of the degree.
2) Information – serve as a point of contact for those considering returning for an advanced degree since the decision making process from preliminary thinking and planning all the way through program research and application navigation can be tricky. It is also our goal to encourage more NACADA members to pursue doctoral work.
3) Research – become a hub of research and scholarship exchange within the field of academic advising and beyond. By connection people with similar research interests we can better share literature reviews, resources, and measurement instruments. This will mesh very well with NACADA’s goal of advancing research association-wide.
