Region 10 2012 Awards & Scholarships
NACADA Region 10 Scholarship Information
February 15, 2012 for the scholarship to the Regional Conference in Provo.
March 30, 2012 for the travel grant to the Annual Conference in Nashville.
Each award and scholarship have specific criteria and an application process. The awards and scholarships available for 2012 are:
- Region 10 Travel Scholarship: Awarded to a current member of NACADA in good standing to attend Annual Conference in Nashville, TN
- Region 10 Scholarships to Regional Conference in Provo, UT: Awarded to current members of NACADA in good standing.
We are pleased to offer these scholarships to our Region 10 Members. Detailed information on the Region 10 Conference is available at www.nacada.ksu.edu. The criteria and applications for these awards and grants are below as is the link to the on-line submission portal.
Instructions for On-Line Submission:
- Enter a password - this can be simple and you can use the same one for other submissions
- Select your Region.
- Then select the award for which you are applying from the "Awards/Scholarship Category" drop down box.
- Be sure to write down your Award/Scholarship Nomination Number and your password, so if you have to stop and come back to the nomination form, you can do so easily! It will also be in your confirmation e-mail.
- Enter the information as it is requested. NOTE: The NOTIFICATION section is for you to list those people who you would want to know if you are selected for this award/scholarship. We would suggest your president/provost, your supervisors, your public relations department.
- You will need to upload some documents. They must be in pdf form. As these are different for each award, please see the Region Awards page for more information before you begin the submission process. you can leave and come back as long as you have not hit the SUBMIT button.

Deadlines are:
February 15, 2012 for the scholarship to the Regional Conference in Provo.
March 30, 2012 for the travel grant to the Annual Conference in Nashville.

Region 10 Scholarships
Region 10 Travel Scholarship to Annual Conference in Nashville.
Eligiblility:
Individual must be a current Region 10 member of NACADA in good standing.
Criteria:
Winner must attend the 2012 Annual Conference in Nashville, TN
Winner must be willing to do a brief write up describing one idea gleaned from the conference thatyou could implement in your position on your campus.
Submission Procedures:
Please provide the following information:
- Current Resume/Vita
- Professional Development Activities: Please list any NACADA, or other professional development activities you have participated in.
- Scholarship Information: Give a brief description of the goals you hope to accomplish by attending the 2012 Annual Conference. In what ways would you like to extend your involvement in NACADA, especially in Region 10?
- Please attach an itemized budget proposal of estimated conference expenses.
Eligible expenses include: Conference registration, airfare, mileage, meals which are not included in the conference registration fee (dinner up to $25, no more than $40 total per day), transfers, parking, transportation to/from home airport, and other expenses directly related to the conference and travel for the conference.
Ineligible expenses: NACADA membership fees, late fees, and meals that are already included in the conference registration fee.

Region 10 Travel Scholarships to 2012 Region 10 Conference in Provo, UT
One travel scholarship maybe awarded per each state in our region – Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. The travel scholarship will reimburse up to $575 of approved conference expenses. Scholarship winners will be contacted directly with specific forms and instructions for reimbursement. This scholarship only applies to the 2012 Region Conference in Provo, UT (Feb. 29-March 3, 2012).
Please note: Winners of the previous Region 10 conference awards are not eligible for this award.
