…
I love the vast array of
cultural arts that are available in Chicago. There
are so many opportunities to see a play, a symphony or
an opera. I also appreciate the many different museums
the city has to offer.

What
I like most about Chicago is the overall atmosphere and
personality of the city. There is always something interesting
going on in the city. The people are great, the architecture
is fabulous, the museums are amazing, and the history
is fantastic. I love visiting Michigan Avenue, Millennium
Park, Water Tower, Hancock Building, the Art Institute,
the Chicago History Museum, the Marshall Fields building
on State, and driving on Lower Wacker! Everywhere you
go in the city there is something new and different to
discover. From the diversity of people, to cuisines, to
leisure activities, and educational opportunities Chicago
has something to offer and be enjoyed by everyone!

Things
I LOVE to do in Chicago: Sit in the bleachers at the friendly
confines for Cubs games, visit the Art Institute of Chicago
to view the Impressionists’ paintings, take in the sun
at North Avenue Beach, attend concerts at Millennium and
Grant Park, watch the Navy Pier fireworks from the grounds
of the Adler Planetarium, take in music concerts at Northerly
Island, enjoy meals and spirits at the hundreds of diverse
neighborhood restaurants and pubs around the city including
Will’s Northwoods Inn (the best Packers bar outside of
Green Bay!), shop at the farmers’ markets located around
the city during the summer months, walk through the Garfield
Park Observatory, bike along the lakefront and through
the beautiful city parks,…the list of things to do is
endless in this Great City! |

I
have done a lot traveling around the country and internationally
and nothing beats Chicago as a world-class city. It
has all the benefits of a large metropolis and the feel
of a small midwest town. The city is beautifully landscaped
with many parks and open space. Chicago is clean and offers
some of the most interesting architecture in the world.
Lake Michigan is like an ocean, but it is fresh water
with wonderful beaches. The museums are modern and
interesting and the shows and restaurants are very diverse.
Chicago is a true melting pot of people from around the
world. The outdoor concerts and local festivals, bike
riding on the lakefront, riding the trains and listening
to local radio are truly enjoyable. Studying its
architecture and colorful history and exploring the many
neighborhoods are always interesting activities. I
am sure you will enjoy your stay. |

Chicago
is a wonderful town that has everything you could want
if you are single, married with kids, or in-between. I
love the culture and energy here. We have neighborhoods
with rich histories, great food, and entertainment. The
nightlife is awesome, I highly recommend Second City or
a play like Wicked. The food is great, you better have
the Chicago deep dish pizza (even if you then realize
that NY pizza is still better!) then go to Little Italy
or a neighborhood pub. Go see the attractions at Navy
Pier, take a dinner cruise, go to top of the Hancock Building,
see the spectacular view. If you’re bored, it’s not our
fault!

I
was born and raised in Chicago. My favorite spots are
visiting the Shed Aquarium, shopping at Water Tower Place,
and hanging down at Navy Pier, all just minutes from the
conference site! Enjoy Chicago, my home town!
