I never cease to be amazed at the breadth and depth of sessions available at the NACADA conferences. Each time I go to a conference, I learn and take back new knowledge to the students I serve. My goal is to always implement something new from every conference and so far I've done that. My first National conference was in Cincinnati, Ohio back in 2004. It was exciting to see so many people who had such passion for the field of advising and, as a pretty new advisor, I learned so many new things my head swam. The only thing that has really changed is that I'm no longer a pretty new advisor! My head still swims and I talk about and think about the conferences until the next one! I'm really excited to be able to attend the 2012 conference in Nashville, TN! See you there.

The NACADA Annual Conference is the professional opportunity I look forward to each year. I am energized and renewed by attending sessions and presentations by colleagues from around the world, which allow me to continue my own learning and development as an advisor.
