Commission & Interest Group Division Goals and Objectives

DIVISION GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Division Representatives & Executive Office Liaison:

  • Focus on coordination of all division processes and functions in early stages of division.
  • Attend mid-year NACADA Board/Council meeting in the Spring (Division Representatives only).
  • Send letters to all division leadership person’s home institution and supervisors.
  • Assist current interest groups considering to seek commission status.
  • Create a more structured training outline for new commission and interest group chairs to be available as part of division meeting each year.
  • Establish Division meeting structure to take place prior to each NACADA conference.
  • Steering Committee members will assist the Division Representatives in providing support and direction for our membership.
  • Steering committee members will provide direct assistance and support to their designated commission and interest group chairs.
  • Assist current interest groups who are considering seeking commission status.
  • Create web page distinguishing the differences between and similarities of commissions and interest groups.
  • Create a division timeline guide for chairpersons.
  • Create a new evaluation tool for commission and interest group meetings at NACADA Conference.
  • Update and improve the Commission Chair Handbook on the NACADA Web page.
  • Possibly create Interest Group Chair Handbook.
  • Revise division brochure to include updated division information.
  • Create templates for post-conference and annual reports.
  • Obtain reports from all commissions and interest groups.
  • Include reporting deadlines in division timeline guide.
