IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS, LINKS, AND SUGGESTIONS --

• San Antonio Hotel Reservations:  Be sure to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible for the annual conference in San Antonio this fall. Visit www.nacada.ksu.edu/AnnualConf/2009/hotelinstructions.htm for hotel reservation information.
  • NOTE:  If you will not be able to attend the annual conference in San Antonio due to recent travel budget cuts or other reasons, please contact Julia Wolf (jqwolf@ksu.edu) as soon as possible. The Executive Office will also need to know the name of the individual who will be handling your Chair responsibilities during the conference in your absence, including the CIGD Fair and your annual commission or interest group meeting. • CIGD Division meeting: Tuesday, September 29th, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Attendance at this meeting is required for both current and incoming Commission Chairs, and optional for Interest Group and Potential Interest Group Chairs.

• TIPS TO STRETCH TRAVEL FUNDING: Be sure to read the article “Professional Development on a Budget” by Scott Amundsen and Les Ridingin in the June 2009 issue of AAT (www.nacada.ksu.edu/AAT/NW32_2.htm#18). Scott and Les share “tried and true” tips for increasing the chances of attending off-campus professional development opportunities on the institution’s dime. Perhaps some of these tips will help plan for your travel to San Antonio this fall.
