Re: November 2007 CIG Division Reminders

I enjoyed seeing you all in Baltimore, and look forward to working with the new and continuing CIGD leaders!   Upon receipt, I will get your expense reimbursements mailed soon. Please let me know if you need the reimbursement form e-mailed to you. We appreciate your patience as we work to catch up on post-conference followup tasks in the Executive Office, including web and listserve updates, which may take another couple of weeks to accomplish.

Listed below are CIG Division deadlines and events coming up in NOVEMBER, advance notice of DECEMBER deadlines, and other important announcements and updates. For the complete CIGD Timeline, visit www.nacada.ksu.edu/CandIGDivision/CIGDivisionTimeline.htm.

NOVEMBER 2007 DEADLINES and EVENTS:

• NOVEMBER 2 — Nominations due for 2008 Leadership elections
• NOVEMBER 15 — Post-Conference reports due (optional for IGs), including budget requests -- details/form will be sent to you soon for submitting these reports via Word document since the revised online form is not yet available.
• COMMISSION CHAIRS: If you are planning to seek nominations for a Service to Commission Award in 2008 for your commission, be sure to indicate this in your post-conference report and request $50 in funds.
• NOVEMBER 15— Initial indication due in post-conference report by Chair of Interest Group interested in seeking Commission status in 2008.
• NOVEMBER 15 — Formal request for official interest group status due to CIG Division Reps from Potential Interest Group Chairs.
• ONGOING — Work with Executive Office to promote submission of annual conference proposals, regional conference proposals, and award nominations by your commission or interest group members.

ADVANCE DECEMBER 2007 REMINDERS:

• DECEMBER 15 — Additional criteria for Service to Commission Award specific to your commission due to Executive Office (this is optional -- only if a commission wants to require more specific criteria in addition to general guidelines and criteria outlined). IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS, LINKS, AND SUGGESTIONS:

• There is still time to submit nominations for your successor as Commission Chair and other leadership positions, if being elected in 2008 (due Nov 2). You can review the commission member list received at the annual conference for potential nominees. Online nomination form is available at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Election/index.htm.  
• Please submit changes to your web pages directly to me at the Executive Office at jqwolf@ksu.edu for posting to your unit's web site. If you would like to send an e-mail message, newsletter, or other information to all members of your commission or interest group, please send that information to me as well.
• Check the general NACADA Calendar for other dates of interest.
