• OCTOBER 2 -- Send message text to Julia Wolf for e-mail to be sent to all your commission or interest group members before the Annual Conference. Send web page revisions as well if to be posted before the conference.
• OCTOBER 17 -- Commission & Interest Group Division meeting prior to Baltimore annual conference (1-5pm, followed by Leadership dinner)
• Agenda will be posted soon to "For Leaders" web page for you to review before the division meeting -- you will be notified when posted.
• OCTOBER 19 -- Commission & Interest Group Fair at Baltimore annual conference (7:30am-8:30am)
• OCTOBER 19-20 -- Commission and Interest Group Annual Meetings held during the annual conference.
• Outgoing Commission Chairs: Be sure to meet with your successor during the conference to help them plan goals and activities for the next year, including any budget requests to be included in post-conference report.
• OCTOBER 26 -- Deadline for short "News & Updates" activity summaries for December 2007 issue of Academic Advising Today. E-mail article directly to Leigh Cunningham at leigh@ksu.edu.
• ONGOING -- 
• Plan agenda for your respective Commission or Interest Group meeting held during annual conference. • Solicit nominations for your successor as Commission Chair if being elected in 2008. If stepping down as Interest Group Chair, solicit possible successors. 

ADVANCE NOVEMBER 2007 REMINDERS:

• NOVEMBER 2 -- 2008 Leadership nominations due to the Executive Office.
• NOVEMBER 15 -- Post-conference reports due online, including budget requests, from Commission Chairs (optional for Interest Group Chairs) -- details for these reports will be discussed at the Division meeting in Baltimore.
• NOVEMBER 15 -- Initial indication due in post-conference report by Chair of Interest Group interested in seeking Commission status.
• NOVEMBER 15 -- Formal request for official interest group status due from Potential Interest Group Chair. 

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS --

• Click HERE for a master schedule of CIGD conference meetings and activities. Specific dates and times for your annual unit meetings and Hot Topic sessions have also been posted to individual Commission & IG "Conference Events" web pages. 
• You are all encouraged to attend the Annual Business meeting on Saturday afternoon of the conference at 5:45-6:15pm, Convention Center Room 325.
• For Fall Leadership meeting information, click on: 2007 Fall meeting schedule, List of Expected Attendees at Leadership Meetings (including meeting rooms), and Meeting Reimbursement Guidelines.
• If you are not presenting a "Hot Topics" session this year in Baltimore, plan to attend one of these sessions to support your fellow Chairs!
• During your annual meeting, be sure to recognize your commission or interest group members who are 2007 NACADA award recipients (list posted under "Awards" on your unit's web site). Also, be sure to point out the leadership nomination form in the back of the printed conference program, and encourage your members to nominate a colleague!

• Annual Meeting Feedback Forms — Be sure to supply your own feedback forms for your unit's annual meeting in Baltimore if you plan to gather feedback from your members. To assist you in creating such a form for use in Baltimore, sample forms are posted at www.nacada.ksu.edu/CandIGDivision/CIGDMeetingFeedback.htm. If you have developed such a form that could be added to this web page, please e-mail it to Julia Wolf.
