• SEPTEMBER 9 —Send message text to Julia Wolf by this date if you would like to send an e-mail to your respective commission or interest group members before the Annual Conference. Perhaps this e-mail might include the agenda for your annual meeting.
• SEPTEMBER 29 — Commission & Interest Group Division meeting, 1:00-5:00 p.m., prior to Annual Conference in San Antonio (incoming, outgoing, continuing chairs attend). Click HERE for a list of all Leadership meetings and expected attendees.

• ONGOING —
  1. Plan the agenda for your respective Commission or Interest Group meeting at the annual conference.
  2. If you will be unable to attend the annual conference in San Antonio, please notify Julia Wolf at the Executive Office of the name of the individual(s) who will handle your Chair responsibilities during the conference in your absence, including your annual meeting and your table at the CIGD Fair.
  3. Solicit nominations for your successor as Commission Chair if being elected in 2010. If stepping down as Interest Group Chair this fall, solicit possible successors as well.  Contact Julia Wolf if you'd like to receive a list of current members in your respective unit to review for possible candidates.
  4. Be sure to review the information in the online NACADA Leadership Orientation (using “Haiku”) before coming to the conference this fall. If you need your login info sent again, please e-mail George Steele directly (gsteele@oln.org).  Although the orientation modules were developed with new leaders in mind, there is good information from which all leaders can benefit.

• OCTOBER 15 — Deadline for short "News & Updates" activity summaries for December 2009 issue of Academic Advising Today. E-mail article directly to Leigh Cunningham at leigh@ksu.edu.
