Intrusive
Advising, defined by the work of Robert Glennen, takes developmental
advising theory one step further. Intrusive advising
is proactive. Programs utilizing intrusive advising build
structures that incorporate intervention strategies mandating
advising contacts for students who otherwise might not seek advising.
