Kati Markowitz, Chair
Dear
Graduate and Professional Student Advisors,
Happy
New Year! I hope that
you all had a restful, funfilled holiday, and are ready and energized
for a new, and better year. We have 3 items of membership-wide business.
Please take the time to read below.
- Please subscribe to our
commission listserve. For information on logistics, go
to www.nacada.ksu.edu/Commissions/C06/listserve.htm.
We will start to communicate actively starting in February 2006,
and being on the listserve will help you share information all
along the way.
- Proposals, proposals,
proposals! Please send in proposals to the national,
regional and state conferences. We do have ideas to share, what
we do is important, and we can and do learn a lot from each other.
NACADA conferences are wonderful opportunities to have these exchanges.
As a means of keeping track of what we do, please send me an e-mail
with the title of the proposal, presenters name and afilliation,
as well as what venue you submitted it to. We will keep a tally
on our commission Web site.
- The survey of our membership
will be posted on January 23rd and run for 3 weeks. **
PLEASE, MAKE AN EFFORT AND TAKE THE TIME TO RESPOND TO THE SURVEY
QUESTIONS **. The results will enable the commission
to learn about professional and organizational matters facing
us, and help in designing programs responsive to our members'
needs.
Wishing
you again a good, Happy New Year.
