Hello all Small Colleges and Universities Commission members:

First, I wanted to extend my thanks for everyone who submitted a proposal for presenting at the national conference in Las Vegas. The 24 proposals received were top notch and it was very frustrating to have to select only five for commission sponsorship. A number of proposals,
though not exactly on point for small colleges and universities' issues, were very applicable in other areas including adult student education and non-traditional students. In my critiques, I tried to express this and hope that these proposals were submitted to the corresponding commissions as they were excellent. Please don't be discouraged if you were not one of the proposals selected for commission sponsorship. If you would like specific feedback, just let me know and I'd be happy to give you my "two cents worth".

Second, I would like to take this opportunity to ask for commission members who might be interested in being a part of the Small Colleges and Universities Commission Steering Committee to take a moment to send me an e-mail regarding your interest. I saw a wealth of experience and insight in the proposals submitted by commission members that would be invaluable in guiding this commission. Further, such strong membership can, I believe, be a driving influence in NACADA at both the national and regional levels.

Let me know if you would be interested in being a member of the commission's steering committee. Thanks for all of your hard work!
