Dear Members of the Advising Student Athletes Commission:

Some of you may have been subscribed in the past to the "Athletic Advising Network" list serve, which was also used by the Advising Student Athletes Commission for networking and discussion purposes. We recently learned that this particular list serve, which was managed through Ball State University on its server, has been discontinued.

To replace this list, a new list serve has now been established for use by the NACADA Advising Student Athletes Commission, which will be managed by NACADA. Because the original Athletic Advising Network list serve was on a different server and managed elsewhere, NACADA staff do not know who was subscribed to it nor could names be automatically transferred to the new list serve. Therefore, subscribers to the original list serve will now need to subscribe to this new list serve.

We strongly encourage you to subscribe to this list serve, which provides an excellent opportunity for advising professionals working with student athletes to network with their colleagues across the country and to share concerns that have a unique focus on student athletes. The commission itself was created to ensure that student athlete advising issues and concerns are addressed within the NACADA organization. Having this special list serve will help facilitate this goal.
