RE: NACADA Partnership with NCAA and Request for feedback from the NCAA

As a member of the NCAA Academic Eligibility Compliance Cabinet and the President of NACADA, I have been in conversation with NCAA concerning a partnership between the NCAA and NACADA. This partnership will focus on the establishment of best practices in advising programs for student athletes, feedback on legislative proposals and concepts, NCAA staff presence at the NACADA National meetings, and the opportunities for consultation with NACADA experts and NCAA member institutions.

I have asked Cindy Pavlowski, Commission Chair, to request feedback from members of this commission on the "NCAA Academic Support Discussion Document." Please note that we must have feedback by MAY 26. Your feedback will be summarized for the Continuing Eligibility Sub-Committee of the AEC Cabinet that meets the second week of June.
