Greetings, all!

I hope everyone's 2007 is off to a fabulous start! I'm writing with one reminder and three requests.

Reminder: It's time to submit proposals for the 2007 NACADA Conference! Proposals are due by February 10th. You can get to the online submission instructions and form here: 2007 NACADA Proposals. The test run for panel presentations went so well at the 2006 annual conference that NACADA wants to do it again this year. So, please note that concurrent sessions have discussion, lecture, and panel options, and select any you think appropriate for your topic.

Request #1: I need volunteers to serve as readers for this year's Faculty Advising presentation proposals. I'm looking for folks who can help me review these. I know from past experience that this is not a huge time commitment. You will need to be available during the week after the deadline (February 12-16) for 1-2 hours at most. Everything is online, so it's very easy to help out. It makes a great VITA entry! Please e-mail me ASAP at rsprague@uwsp.edu if you can help.

Request #2: If you know someone deserving of a Service to the Faculty Advising Commission Award, please nominate him or her. I know many of our colleagues have given a great deal to this commission over the years, and this is a fabulous way to recognize those efforts.  Click here for more details on this award and the nomination process.

Request #3: On a related note, I also need two volunteers to serve on the Service to the Faculty Advising Commission Award Selection Committee. This is another service that is very important but not terribly time-consuming. If you are willing to help out, please e-mail me directly at rsprague@uwsp.edu.
