INVOLVED!
It's
time to think about submitting presentation proposals for this spring's
regional conferences and next fall's national conference. It would
be wonderful to have more presentations geared to faculty advising
at all of the regionals and the national. (There were 33 faculty-related
sessions presented at the 2004 National Conference.)
Online
submissions are now being accepted for Regional Conference presentation
proposals. The deadlines vary by region. Check the NACADA web site
at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Events/Conferences/Regional/upcoming.htm
for the date specific to your region.
The
printed Call for Proposals for the fall national conference will
be mailed soon, and online submissions will be accepted beginning
December 1. The deadline to submit
for the national conference is Feb. 8, 2005.
If
you've never submitted a proposal, now is the time to give it a
try. Use the "Guide to Writing an Effective Proposal"
tutorial to get some hints for writing a great proposal. This tutorial
is accessible as a link from the Presentation Proposal Application
page (available December 1).
In
the near future, I will also be soliciting help with proposal reading.
Please give this some thought and respond in the affirmative when
I put out my plea.
