GREETINGS TO ALL LGBTA CONCERNS COMMISSION MEMBERS AND OTHER ALLIES!

My name is Lynne Carlson and I am the incoming chair of our commission. Dean Jolly has stepped down from his current position as chair and Casey Self asked if I would step in and try to get up to speed before Cincinnati. Foolish woman that I am, I said, "sure, why not?" What was I thinking!! Anyway, here I am trying to figure out what's what and who's who. Casey has been FANTASTIC with his support and agreement to co-chair stuff with me.

I am now asking for your support and assistance. I have read Dean's post-conference report from last year's conference and it states that leaders were designated for each of the mini-goals developed. The leaders were to prepare a list of activities designed by each group from which unit goals and objectives could be developed and then further activities would be planned. I have no record of these leaders or their lists. So if you were one of the aforementioned leaders or know who was, PLEASE contact me and let me know what was developed, if anything.

Additionally, I would like to get to know all of you so we can work together to advance LGBTA goals and generate new ideas, activities, etc. I look forward to meeting those that are planning to attend this year's national conference in Cincinnati. For those who cannot attend, trust me - I will be in contact with you! I look forward to working with ALL of you during my tenure with NACADA.
