Re: 2006 NACADA Elections

It seems odd to me to think about finding a replacement for myself, since I just took office in October 2004, but the nominations for a new Chair to take office in October 2006 will be due shortly after the conference this fall. That's NACADA for you, always thinking ahead!

The job is not all that complicated, but there is a bit more to it than you might think. To do it well requires a decent amount of enthusiasm and/or energy, and one has to be able to make the handful of deadlines that exist in regards to reporting and evaluating conference proposals. An overview of the Commission Chair position can be found on the NACADA web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Leadership/CommissionChairOverview.htm.

Information on the 2006 elections can be found on the NACADA web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Election/index.htm, including a list of the positions being elected, eligibility criteria, and an online Leadership Recommendation Form. Although the nomination deadline is not until October 31, 2005, NACADA encourages you to submit nominations as soon as possible.
