Dear Advising Education Majors Commission members,

Greetings! I hope you all had a wonderful break and have survived the first few days of the new semester. It is time (already) to begin planning for NACADA events and opportunities.

• Plan to attend your Regional Conference. This is an excellent way to network with your colleagues from other campuses and learn more about the exciting and ever evolving field of advising. For more information, visit the NACADA web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Events/Conferences/Regional/upcoming.htm. I hope to see those of you from Region 3 in Nashville March 19-21.

• NACADA national conference presentation proposals are due FEBRUARY 10!! Please consider submitting a proposal for this event. Let’s increase the number of proposals from our Commission.

• There were numerous topics of interest shared at the Commission meeting in Las Vegas. A presentation on any of these topics could be helpful for members of our Commission and for NACADA members. 
• If you have an idea for a presentation and would like to present with another member, please let me know.

 

• Would you like to nominate someone for our "Service to Commission Award" for 2006? Nominations are due in the Executive Office by April 1. Detailed information and the nomination form for the Service to Commission Award is available at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Awards/CService.htm.
