Assessment of Advising Commission Members
From: Victor Macaruso, Chair
Date: February 1, 2005
Dear
Colleagues,
Well,
it's the spring semester of the year. For some of us, buried in
ice and snow, "spring" is a hope in May. Nevertheless,
this is a good time to take stock and take notice of what is happening
in our Commission and in NACADA.
There
are two important deadlines in February of which to be aware:
- February
8 -- Deadline for submitting 2005 Conference Proposals.
Join with your colleagues or submit a proposal on you own in which
we will all enjoy participating.
You
may find it informative to read the Commission
and Interest Group Division (CIGD) meeting minutes from
Cincinnati now posted on the CIGD web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/CandIGDivision/CIGDMeetingMinutes-Fall2004.htm.
If you haven't already done so, surf the NACADA web site. You'll
be amazed by what you find.
We
have the opportunity to recognize members of our Commission who
have made significant contributions to our goals and objectives
and who have helped us to become what we are today. We are currently
seeking nominations for the Service
to Commission Award. You can find information about
the procedures for this award, including the purpose, criteria,
eligibility, submission guidelines, and a nomination form on the
NACADA web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Awards/CService.htm.
Complete nomination information must be e-mailed to the NACADA Executive
Office no later than Friday, April
1, 2005.
If
you have any questions about the Service to Commission Award nomination
form or what information should be included in the supporting materials,
please contact me at vmacaruso@lssaa.wisc.edu.
Enjoy
the semester. Spring is
sure to come.
