Advising First-Year Students Interest Group

The Advising First Year Students Interest Group discusses the challenges and strategies associated with advising first-year students as they make the transition from being high school graduates to successful college students. Please feel free to contact us at any time and let us know what resources you would like the group to provide to support your work. We will strive to build both web resources and to support your work as advisors of first-year students through future conference activities.

The IG has several goals and objectives but the main two are to build up the resources page on this site and to promote collaboration in conference proposals for next year’s NACADA conference. Please contact the chair if you would like to become involved in any of these intiatives.
