Platform Statement:
I have been actively involved in NACADA for 13 years and am currently
serving on the Board of Directors for a two-year term. A
supporter of the reorganized Board structure, I am convinced this
new format will produce many positive changes for our membership.
This structure has already led to active discussion and engaged
conversation about a variety of topics that will be addressed
by the Board. The Vice President position represents the heart
and soul of our membership. This is crucial to the workings of
NACADA. As a former Regional Representative and former Chair
of the Awards and Scholarships Committee, I feel confident I can
offer guidance when needed. Assuredly, I will convey the
NACADA Council's interests and concerns to the Board of Directors.
In addition, I worked with Commissions as Chair of the Awards
and Scholarship Committee. Attracting new members to NACADA while
providing quality services for current members is one of my main
goals. I am most interested in promoting leadership opportunities
for our members. Additionally, I think we must continue
to promote visibility of advising on our individual campuses.
I am very honored to be nominated for this position.
