Past Involvement in NACADA:

Years in NACADA: 7 years
Regional Activities/Offices Held, including accomplishments achieved while in office: Wisconsin State Liaison to Region 5; WACADA Vice President of Programs; Co-Chair of 2003 Region 5 joint Regional Conference (with Region 6).
National Offices Held and Accomplishments Achieved While in Office:
Committee Activities and Accomplishments: Worked to establish State Advising Awards for the Wisconsin Academic Advising Association (WACADA); developed WACADA Member Directory in conjunction with Vice President of Membership. Board of Trustees member for UW Bookstore. Co-chair, Plan 2008 Forum Committee (UW-Madison's blueprint for diversity).
Commission/Interest Group Activities and Accomplishments: Presented at National Academic Advising Association 5 times in the areas of working with undecided students, advisor development and advisor training. Member of the Commission on Undecided and Exploratory Students.
Other: Student Personnel Association (UW-Madison  organization) offices held-President elect, President, Past-President, Newsletter Editor, Membership Coordinator.  Personnel Representative on the VA Kids Center Board of Directors; 1st Vice President for Altrusa, Madison Chapter (national community service organization).
Platform Statement:

As the Region 5 representative, I plan to continue working on the tasks that the Region 5 Steering Committee has been focusing on, including work on the institutional, state and province Grant programs.  I will also work toward the development of a strong Region 5 Executive Committee, made up of the Region 5 state/province liaisons, and encourage additional leadership opportunities within the Region for the state/province representatives.  The promotion of continued grass-roots inspired policies and their influence within the Region are also important to me.
