Platform Statement:

As an academic administrator with over a dozen years of advising experience from the faculty and administrative sides alike, I believe that I would bring to the chair's position a perspective that is open to collaboration, consensus, and active dialogue amongst faculty and staff academic advisors and support and administrative staffs collectively. One of my initial goals would be for this commission to explore and recommend ways and means through which communication can be initiated and/or improved within the aforementioned groups.

In addition, my background includes experience encompassing a Research I university, small private college, regional technical 2/4-year college, small private university, and community college settings. As such, I draw from a wide variety of models, histories and practices that would hopefully help inform and support the information exchanges that members of this commission share in person or via the Web, leading to proposals (perhaps even a platform) that this commission can take to the leadership team and membership-at-large of NACADA.
