Statement:
The
Advising Education Majors Commission endeavors to provide a forum
for sharing ideas and discussing common concerns. The commission
continues to reach out to the large number of NACADA members, each
from varied geographical regions, who have common concerns in preparing
and guiding future educators through the maze of Federal, State,
academic degree and licensure requirements.
As
an advisement administrator for over 14 years, and chair of the
interest group, now Commission, I will continue to serve jointly
with my vice-chairpersons to provide opportunities for member involvement
through list serve conversations, workshop presentations, research,
and pre-conference opportunities. I endeavor to continue moving
forward to attain the commission's goals and accomplish our one
(1) year action plan. I will continue to work towards fostering
collegiality and connecting members to valuable resources and shared
experiences.
