  • Co-Chair, 2002 NACADA State Conference, Oregon -144 participants from Oregon and Region 8 and 9

  • Current Co-Chair, NACADA Liberal Arts Advisors Interest Group, 2003-present.
  • Current member of Advising Adult Learners Commission and Advisor Training and Development Commission
  • Current member of Theory and Philosophy of Advising Interest Group

 

Other:

  • Presented liberal arts talks at three national conferences in 2001, 2002, and 2003.
  • While at Oregon State University, coordinated advising monthly meetings, acted as advising consultant for graduate level advising seminar, and facilitated Advising Workshop for professional and faculty advisors campus-wide.

 

Platform Statement:

 

I am committed to professional development and outreach in NACADA Region 8. I recognize that individual advisors are challenged by busy schedules and limited resources. I will encourage state conferences and other opportunities for professional development within the current time and economic restraints.
