Offices Held and Accomplishments Achieved While in Office:
- Pacific
Region 9 Chair (2001-2003) - was on Geographic Zone committee
that tried to study the similarities and differences between the
different regions in order to see whether or not a uniform structure
would work across all regions.
Regional
Activities/Offices Held, including accomplishments achieved while
in office:
- Conference
Chair, Pacific Region 9, 1999 - organized and held this conference
and had a budget surplus. Worked closely with the University of
Southern California Council of Academic Advisors in introducing
them to NACADA.
- Currently
on the Region 9 Steering Committee - assisting in setting up the
2004 regional conference in Pasadena. Consulting with the current
region chair in expanding region membership.

Platform
Statement:
As
Regional Division Representative,
- I
will work toward identifying themes that are common across all
regions and work with the region chairs to establish sensible
protocols.
- Where
regions have unique characteristics, I will encourage region chairs
to showcase those for the benefit of other regions.
- I
will act as a liaison to the Board and represent regional interests
to enhance regional participation in NACADA and strengthen membership
within regions.
- I
will encourage Region Chairs to work collaboratively with State
and other regional organizations which impact advising.
