Statement:
The
Administrative Division Representative oversees the NACADA standing
committees, where the "nuts and bolts" of the organization
lie, and where issues affecting NACADA are dealt with and projects
completed at the grass-roots level. The members of the Administrative
Division are the true backbone of the organization. As Administrative
Division representative, I will continue Catherine's work toward
the NACADA Mission Statement and the NACADA Strategic Plan, while
providing support to the committee chairs and committee members.
As a liaison between the committees and the Board, I will advocate
for the committees' important work while working with the Board
toward all of our common goals.
My
extensive experience as a member of NACADA and as a leader within
NACADA, including work on numerous committees, task forces, commissions
and interests groups, advisory boards, and the Journal Editorial
Board, combined with over 45 NACADA presentations, 2 NACADA awards,
and serving as chair of various NACADA entities, provides me with
the qualifications to serve in this important role. I appreciate
the nomination for the position, and will do my best if elected
to the position. Thank you.
