Platform Statement:

I have 20+ years in advising administration and feel this has prepared me sufficiently to understand that what has happened before often bares little resemblance to what can and will happen in the future. Advising is a key element in the success of all students, even those who feel they can get along without us, because the services advisors provide often establish the academic standard for all students. Supporting and promoting good advisement has occupied a good portion of my professional career and I would like to continue with that process on the national level.

My goals for this position are as follows:

  1. Improve and expand the relationship between 4-yr and 2-yr institutions by identifying best practices and collaborative programming that can be universally shared and adapted.
  2. Identify and promote new methods of delivery for advising.
  3. Identify and promote creative evaluation processes.
