Platform
Statement:
During
my four years with Regis University,
working as a faculty advisor, I have been an active member of NACADA.
I believe that NACADA is an important organization and resource
for college and university advisors. For advisors working in small
colleges and universities, NACADA has been invaluable in assisting
fellow advisors in establishing a working network for information
sharing.
There
are many unique aspects of advising at small colleges and universities.
I envision the Small Colleges
and Universities commission to continue
to provide the needed resources to assist its members to remain
effective advisors and administrators. As commission chair, I plan
on being the point person in assisting commission members as they
continue their fine work. Whether through articles in the NACADA
journals, meetings at NACADA conferences, or through electronic
correspondence, I will work to enhance the effectiveness of the
commission. As chair of the commission, I will work to make sure
that the Small Colleges
and Universities commission remains an
integral part of NACADA and upholds the fine tradition of the organization.
