Through a wide vareity events and publications, an awards and scholarships program that honors individuals and institutions making significant contributions to the improvement of academic advising, as well as a program for emerging leaders designed to provide leadership development opportunities to members, NACADA promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to enhance the educational development of students.   

Kansas State University offers both a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising in Higher Education and a Master of Science in Academic Advising Degree in partnership with NACADA.  Both programs provide an opportunity for faculty, full-time academic advisors, and administrators to gain an understanding of many issues and skills needed to deliver effective academic advising at the post-secondary level of education.
