2010 Academic Advising Administrators' Institute

February 14-16, 2010 held at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida


The Institute is designed for all levels of advising administrators: Those who are aspiring to become Administrators and those new to Advising Administration at all levels come learn the basics and network with others new to administration as well as those experienced administrators from whom you can learn valuable 'hands-on' information. This program is also geared to experienced advising administrators who are looking to improve their academic advising programs.

  •  Joshua Barron of Texas Tech University will conduct an optional session on what administrators need to know about effective use of technology. The session will provide a basic overview of the variety of technologies that institutions can explore to enhance their communication with students as well as effectiveness of their work. We will also look at what administrators need to know concerning those technologies and managing their utilization.
