As the first day of the conference draws to a close we will be hosting, on campus, a welcome reception for all delegates. This is a reception with a difference. It is a cultural event that showcases and, if you wish, actively involves you, in several local customs and traditions.

There is an opportunity to sample traditional foods, see traditional dancers, have your hands painted with henna, have your name written in Arabic (stylized calligraphy) be photographed in traditional clothes, be photographed with a live falcon and for the very adventurous, take a short camel ride (and again be photographed).

Towards the end of the event there will be a raffle draw. Names of people who correctly identified the five buildings on the NACADA poster will be drawn from a hat. The first prize is a Cannon camera.

The cultural event will draw to a close around 7:30 p.m. and buses will take you back to your hotels having had a memorable experience.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
