NACADA actively supports members who are committed to transforming their advising practice into scholarly inquiry. The inaugural Research Symposium was held last March prior to the Region IV conference and due to its overwhelming success, will return in 2010 to Region IV in March and expand to the Region II conference in April.
This opportunity is ideal for any member interested in setting aside intentional research time in a structured and supportive environment of academic advising professionals. Participants bring their research ideas/questions and through instruction, mentoring, and time to work on ideas, they leave with detailed action plans for completing their studies!
Workshop break-out sessions are differentiated to support researchers of all levels – from novices, to graduate students, to published scholars. Please note, members from all regions are welcome to participate! For more information, please contact Kathleen Smith at kssmith@admin.fsu.edu
