NACADA Rate is $119 plus tax. Rates apply 3 days prior and post institute.

A block of rooms is held for NACADA participants at that rate, but the hotel MAY FILL before the cut off date of July 5, 2007. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve your rooms early to assure the lower rate.

The Salt Lake City Marriott City Center is the newest full service Marriott hotel in the Salt Lake City area. Located in the heart of the city's business and cultural district, the hotel is adjacent to the Gallivan Center, where guest can enjoy concerts, ice skating, and cultural events. All rooms have climate control, dual line cordless telephone with voice mail, complimentary high speed internet access, color TV, AM/FM alarm clock radio, cable movie channels, On-Command movies and guest services, hair dryer, full-size iron and ironing board, and coffee maker.

There are really only two things you need to know about Salt Lake. First: you can get from any place in Salt Lake to any other place in no time at all. That's good news, because, second, there are a whole bunch of places you are going to want to visit, and you are not going to want to waste any time getting there.

Combining the amenities of a major metropolitan area with the friendliness of a small, western city, Salt Lake City is fast becoming one of America's foremost destinations-and for a good reason. A beautiful, safe, and vibrant city, Salt Lake combines unparalleled access to natural recreation, a bustling economy, dynamic nightlife, remarkable history, warm hospitality, and Utah's Greatest Snow on Earth.

Salt Lake is nestled in a valley at the foot of two mountain ranges-the Wasatch to the east and the Oquirrhs to the west. In spring, the canyons are adorned with wildflowers and impromptu waterfalls. During summer, hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking are just minutes away. Daily sunshine, low humidity, and refreshing mountain breezes combine for a comfortable year-round climate.

Transportation from the Airport

Correction to e-mail that was sent to participants:  The Marriott does not provide a shuttle from the airport, however, you may choose to use Express Shuttle, which has a discounted rate to the Marriott City Center. Here are the details:

Express Shuttle at 1-800-397-0773 offers discounted rates ($7) for transportation to the Marriott City Center Hotel.  They are located at the baggage area of the airport.  You may want to call and make a reservation, however, it is not as important on your way IN to town, but is very important if you want a ride to the airport after the Institute is over.  As many of us will be leaving at the same approximate times on Friday, please call for a reservation.

Taxis are approximately $20 one way and may be a quicker ride if you have colleagues coming with you.
