Annual Academic Advising Summer Institutes
Schedule of Sessions

The 2012 Schedule will be posted here in early 2012.   Until then, please note that the curriculum stays fairly constant and so the 2011 schedule and topics will give you a good overview of the times and subjects of the general and concurrent sessions, as well as the times and dates of the small group sessions and the consultations, etc.

Schedule & Topics

The Summer Institute experience is based on a week-long program providing you and/or your team the opportunity to develop a customized Action Plan based on needs at your particular institution. This process is facilitated by attendance at Foundation Sessions, a choice of topicals and workshops and working daily with a summer institute faculty member and a small group of participants from similar institutional types. Specific objectives are met by participating in every aspect of the institute, from the opening general session on Sunday afternoon until the last presentation is made on Friday at noon. Please plan your transportation accordingly.

Those of you who want to come back for a second Summer Institute should realize that the topics and workshops are very similar from year to year, however, you may want to have this time to work on a different action plan while attending sessions you were not able to at the previous Institute.

The 2011 Schedule will be very similar to the 2010 Institutes (see below).   The start time, daily time schedule and end time will remain the same as the info below.
