presentation proposals for the ten conferences to be held in March
and April. Several regions have a deadline of December

The
National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) is establishing
a database of member expertise to identify members who might be
called upon to respond to media requests on specific issues, serve
as presenters at NACADA events (institutes, seminars, conferences),
author NACADA articles or publications, serve as a consultant, or
provide expertise in other situations.
NACADA
wishes to encourage a diverse pool of members (institutional type,
institutional size, professional role, gender, ethnicity, sexual
orientation, etc.) to list with the database to insure a broad perspective
on all issues. Members are encouraged to strengthen their listing
through writings and presentations within NACADA (NACADA Journal,
monographs, NACADA News articles AND state, regional,
and national conference presentations). Therefore, continual updating
of listings is encouraged.
Members
wishing to be listed should submit the information requested on
the NACADA web site at http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/expertise.htm.
Member information will be continually added to the database as
it is received.
This
is your opportunity to self-identify your areas of expertise and
to offer your expertise to the field.

this list for your review. Additional details on the 2005 elections

As reported last month, the policy for member selection of commissions
and interest groups (IGs) was recently changed to allow members
to choose any combination of commissions and IGs up to a
total of four (4) selections rather than limit them to
only two commissions and two IGs. This official affiliation
primarily identifies those commissions and/or IGs for which
you would have voting privileges, receive periodic electronic
newsletters and updates, and be eligible to hold an elected
or appointed position within, such as serving on a committee
or serving as chair. Please note that you can be informally
involved with as many other commissions or IGs as you like,
such as joining list serves, attending meetings, etc.
We
encourage you to review the available commissions and IGs and
join those of interest to you. If you wish to change your preferred
commission and/or IG choices, you can easily do so by completing
the online form found at the link below.
www.nacada.ksu.edu/CandIGDivision/CIGD-Commission-IGDesignationForm.htm
NOTE:
Your official commission designations as of Friday,
January 7, 2005, will determine the commission chairs
for whom you will be eligible to vote in the 2005 elections.
