Summer Institute - Take your pick!

Plan to attend Summer Institute 2010 in St. Louis, June 27-July 2 or in Philadelphia, August 1-6.  Individuals and teams alike benefit from the integrated curriculum using expert faculty leading general sessions, workshops, topicals and small group discussions. Individualized action plans will be developed over the week. Make an investment that will help your institution meet the increased demands to promote student success with limited resources.

Following the Annual Conference in San Antonio, new NACADA Leaders will take office for the 2009-2010 leadership year. See a complete listing of the new leadership sorted by region.

Have you selected the topic for your thesis or dissertation? Are you doing advising research at your institution? The NACADA Research Registry connects colleagues researching a variety of topics related to the advising field. Sign up by using the registry form to be contacted by a member of the NACADA Research Committee regarding your study.

NACADA Research Grants for up to $5,000 are available. Apply by November 1, 2009, for consideration for 2010 funding.

Advising in the News: The University of Wisconsin’s The Cross-College Advising Service is featured in the September edition of the AAC&U News.

This November 15-17, CAS (Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education) will hold its second national symposium in Arlington, Va.  If you are engaged or interested in program review, assessment efforts, program self-study or the development of student learning and development outcomes this is a great learning opportunity.  Early Bird registration ends Sept. 30, and registration is limited to the first 300.  Additional conference information, including registration materials, can be found at the CAS website.
