List of Programs for High School Students

University
of Washington — Halbert
and Nancy Robinson Center for Young Scholars serves the needs of
gifted young pre-college and college students through the following
programs:
- The
Transition School
is for students that have completed the 7th or 8th Grade. They
study English Literature and expository writing, history, mathematics,
ethics, and physics, and work to develop critical thinking, writing
reading and study skills.
- The Early
Entrance Program for students who successfully
complete the Transition School provides continuing psychological,
academic and social support after they graduate to the University
of Washington.
- The UW
Academy of Young Scholars admit a select group
of 35 academically advanced students who have completed the 10
th grade to the Honors program. They receive a network of support
services throughout their first year.
