Doctoral Students Interest Group Goals and Objectives
Two-year
goals:

Create a comprehensive list of Institutions
with Higher Education-related Doctoral programs and
a NACADA contact at these institutions.

Create and maintain a comprehensive, robust site designed
for students at all stages to share information, resources,
and support (for example http://nacadaphd.wikidot.com/).

Create a comprehensive annotated bibliography on academic
advising-related resources.

Start a Mentor Network, pairing a prospective or brand
new doctoral student with an end-of-program or just-finished
doctoral student.
Diversity
Charge:
This
Interest Group will welcome all NACADA members. It will
attract and involve members from diverse backgrounds
and institutions. Eventually, perhaps some sort of scholarship
could be established and awarded based on diversity
and given to a member of the Interest Group who is pursuing
his/her Doctorate.
