If members have an interest in a topic or constituency not included in the commission structure, a potential interest group may be formed. A meeting is held at the annual conference to generate initial support. When sufficient interest and commitment is generated, the potential interest group may apply for official interest group status. Members are encouraged to select up to four (4) specific commissions and/or interest groups for which they will have voting privileges, receive targeted updates and announcements, and are eligible for involvement in committees and leadership opportunities. However, members have unlimited access to NACADA's entire body of knowledge in any and all commission and interest group areas via the NACADA Web site.
