2014 Leadership Election Information available — including list of positions to be elected, eligibility criteria, position overviews, and online nomination form. Nominations are due Thursday, October 31, 2013. Your participation in the nomination process for these leadership positions is encouraged. Nomination information will also be available in the NACADA exhibit booth and registration area at the Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, as well as printed in the back of the conference program.

2014 Research Grant
applications are open. NACADA research grants support quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methodology research related to academic advising. Grant applications for the first round of 2014 grants may be submitted between October 1 and November 1, 2013. Applications for the second round of 2014 grants may be submitted between February 15 and March 15, 2014. 2014 Annual Conference Call for Proposals
Plan now to submit a proposal application for the October 8-11, 2014 conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Conference Theme is Adventures in Advising: Explore, Discover, Collaborate, Transform. Online submissions will be accepted beginning in mid-December.
The next International Conference will be in 2015. A tentative location will be announced in December 2013 and finalized in the spring of 2014.
2013 Annual Conference:
We want to express our appreciation to over 2800 NACADA members for joining us in Salt Lake City, Utah for the 2013 Annual Conference! Congratulations to the fantastic Conference Committee that made the conference such a huge success: Sharon Aiken-Wisniewski (Chair), Clint Moser, Krystin Deschamps, Stephanie Hamblin, Anna Adams, Jennifer Wright, Steve Hadley, Jim Burton, Mayumi Kasai, and Vickie Morgan. The Executive Office would also like to thank our volunteers, presenters, and those who donated to the Silent Auction. We cannot say thank you enough for the many hours donated to making this conference one of the best.

Call for Faculty
Two sites have been selected for the 2014 Academic Advising Summer Institutes: Portland, Oregon in June 22-27, 2014 and St. Petersburg, FL in July 27-August 1, 2014. More details about each event will be posted as it becomes available.
Those interested in serving as faculty for the 2014 Summer Institutes need to complete the Faculty Interest Questionnaire and review the Faculty Expectations contained in this document. This form will need to be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than December 9, 2013 to be considered for the 2014 Summer Institutes.
The NACADA Blog
The NACADA blog is another great platform for NACADA members to discuss topics of interest and concern. Members will be able to share NACADA experiences, research in the field, and make new connections through participation in the blog.
