Job Title: Academic Student Support Programs Director – CSI St. George Campus

POSITION DETAILS
This individual will work closely with the counterparts, coordinators, and directors at CSI Willowbrook to provide responsive high-quality services. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, additional responsibilities include:
- Oversees and manages all aspects of the CSI St. George facility and the CSI St. George Student Services Center.
- Oversee the maintenance of the college's knowledge base as it pertains to Enrollment Management.
- Develop, continually monitor, and improve student services to minimize wait times and student visits.
- Develop training schedules to ensure staff members are aware of updated procedures, practices and new technology.
- Directs and manages all Student Services Center staff, including cross-trained Student Services Specialists responsible for the provision of recruitment, admissions, advisement, financial aid, and registrar related services, and an Administrative Coordinator.
- Ensures that effective administrative services, programs, and functions are carried-out in a welcoming, inclusive, and responsive environment serving a diverse student population, including many students from groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
- Works in partnership with IT personnel to keep all systems running and secure.
- Consults with appropriate administrative offices to ensure students are receiving the best possible service.
- Evaluate and enhance student online services.
- Partners with academic and student support departments to ensure students are utilizing available services and programming.
- Collaborates with Academic Deans and Departmental Chairpersons and Schedulers in the Division of Academic Affairs, to develop an appropriate Academic Schedule of Course Offerings for students enrolling in classes at CSI St. George.
- Engages with various CSI offices and departments such at IT, Public Safety, Facilities, Recruitment and Admissions to ensure that CSI St. George is functioning at optimal level and meeting the needs of students, faculty and staff.
- Provides oversight and support for faculty teaching on location with classroom requirements, supplies, scheduling of office hours, and delivery of mail, as well as students’ services support.
- Oversees the coordinating with internal and external entities for reservation of classroom, computer lab, and presentation space for College related events and workshops.
- Partners with the Office of the Vice President for Economic Development, Continuing Studies and Government Relations, the Staten Island Small Business Development Center, and local North Shore businesses, including the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, to develop relationships and programs that serve the interests of CSI students and the community of St. George.
- Partners with Public Safety personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Works with Campus Planning on the facilities operations, engaging external Building Management and College Facilities Management, while ensuring that the necessary facility repairs are managed appropriately.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.
CUNY TITLE Higher Education Officer
FLSA Exempt
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
