Candidate for this position will report to the Director of Advising in the UNLV College of Sciences. The SSC Coordinator will be partially responsible for advising and disseminating information for 12 degree programs to 2700 students with majors in the sciences and mathematics. The Coordinator position requires working with students on complicated issues regarding degree progress and referring students to appropriate resources; will participate in outreach activities. The Coordinator will be partially responsible for acting as the College Coordinator for the Student Success Collaborative (SSC), which requires skills in technology and analytics required to support a campus-wide effort to measurably improve student outcomes, specifically Retention, Progression and Completion (RPC). Candidate must demonstrate the ability to act as a team player in a collegial manner with the Director, Associate Director and other employees within the Advising Center, and with SSC Coordinators in other colleges. The position requires excellent English interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; must have good computer skills. Conscientious attention to detail is a must.

Required Qualifications 
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and one year advising or related experience. Experience in the sciences desirable, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
