Position Description

Provide academic advice and program information to undergraduate students in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences. Advisors encourage student retention, progression, and graduation. Academic advisors at Kennesaw State University are experienced professionals who provide advising services to current and incoming students.

Duties

  • Provide academic advice and program information to undergraduate students in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; encourage student retention, progression, and graduation.
  • Academic advisors at Kennesaw State University are experienced professionals who provide advising services to current and incoming students.
  • Primary responsibilities include: assisting students with degree and course selection, navigating the university’s academic and co-curricular landscape, and fostering student success through retention, progression, and graduation initiatives.
  • Advisors also play a key role in new student orientation sessions held throughout the summer months.

  • 2 years experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree;
  • advising experience;
  • familiarity with Banner/DegreeWorks/EAB software platforms.
