Position Description

The Assistant Director, Student Academic Advising will provide highly personalized academic advising services for the Kelley School of Business-Indianapolis Evening MBA Program.

This position will advise enrolled students on plans of study, curriculum requirements, academic standing, graduation eligibility and is responsible for academic appeals and serves on the petitions committee.

This position assists with the design and contact management process for MBA alumni.

Additional responsibilities include assisting and supporting the overall program requirements to attract and retain a competitive and highly qualified student population. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Associate Directors and Director on developing and implementing a marketing plan to increase the quality and quantity of applicants through corporate and individual contacts. This position must be able to attend events and conduct advising outside normal business hours and must have a valid driver’s license.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree plus 1 year of experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Experience should be in student academic advising, admissions, sales or marketing.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and possess knowledge of academic counseling techniques, teaching, and higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of IUPUI.
